Hi, I’m Marissa!

I started The Proficiency Project because I’ve lived what it’s like to be thrown into a system that barely works. I’ve also seen the shift that happens when training is clear, processes are documented, and teams feel confident in what they’re doing.

My background is in multifamily property management and corporate training. Over the years, I’ve supported everyone from new hires to regional leaders. I’ve built onboarding paths, designed learning programs, and rolled out systems like Entrata across multiple teams. The through line in all of it? I care deeply about making things make sense.

The Proficiency Project is where that experience comes to life. I partner with property management firms that are ready to grow but don’t have a training infrastructure in place yet. My focus is simple: help you turn your knowledge into systems your team can actually use.
